Thank you for contributing to ASLA's shared body of knowledge!
We encourage all ASLA members with an idea or an experience to share with their peers in landscape architecture to write for The Field. Fresh content appears weekly.

New year's resolution suggestion: connect with your (new) PPN!
Be on the lookout for tomorrow's issue of LAND, which will include an article on changes to ASLA's Professional Practice Networks (PPNs). After many months of collecting input from PPN leaders, members, survey data, and collaborative discussions with the ASLA PPN Restructuring Task Force, we are excited to be rolling out a new structure to strengthen, streamline, and evolve the PPNs into more inclusive networks.
While ASLA members will be invited to choose their new PPNs in the new year, in case these 2025 highlights have sparked your interest, you don't have to wait until then to volunteer to be a PPN leader!
If you want to help make future blog posts, virtual events, and conference gatherings happen, then PPN leadership is a great way to engage with your PPN all throughout the new year. PPN activities are much more feasible (and fun!) to organize when there are a few PPN volunteers lending a helping hand to make things happen.
Appointments are for one year, and all ASLA members are welcome to volunteer. Most leadership teams meet once a month via Microsoft Teams during regular working hours. Come nerd out with like-minded professionals about your practice area niche!
ASLA’s Professional Practice team wishes you a happy new year and we look forward to continuing our work together—here’s to a successful and productive 2026!
