ASLA CEO Torey Carter-Conneen Selected to Serve on ASAE Board of Directors
Carter-Conneen has been appointed to the ASAE Board of Directors and the ASAE Research Foundation Board for a three-year term starting September 2026.
The American Society of Landscape Architects is pleased to announce that Chief Executive Officer Torey Carter-Conneen has been selected to serve on the ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership Board of Directors and the ASAE Research Foundation Board.
Torey will serve a three-year term as an at-large director beginning September 1, 2026, and serve on the ASAE Research Foundation Board. The boards will be formally installed at ASAE’s Annual Meeting this August.
The appointment recognizes Carter-Conneen’s leadership at ASLA, his deep commitment to members, and his belief in the power of associations to bring people together around a shared purpose.
“Associations play an essential role in strengthening professions, building community, and turning shared priorities into collective action,” Carter-Conneen said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to serve ASAE, learn alongside leaders from across the association community, and bring ASLA’s perspective to that work.”
Through his service, Carter-Conneen will help guide ASAE’s work on behalf of association professionals and contribute to the Research Foundation’s efforts to advance knowledge, innovation, and long-term thinking across the sector.
Carter-Conneen has served as ASLA’s chief executive officer since 2020. Under his leadership, the organization has expanded its advocacy, member resources, public engagement, and efforts to elevate the role of landscape architecture in addressing climate, community, and public health challenges.
