Applications are now officially open for the inaugural ASLA SKILL | ED Firm Leadership Accelerator—a seven-month intensive built to provide the essential business training, financial literacy, and mentorship needed to buy into an existing firm or launch your own practice.
This program is designed for emerging firm owners (within established practices or preparing to launch) and rising leaders being considered for ownership or senior leadership roles. Participants must be ASLA members in good standing and commit to the full program duration and milestones.

What you’ll learn: The curriculum is practical, “nuts-and-bolts,” and follows a logical progression over April 2026 – October 2026, including topics like the business owner mindset, branding & marketing, funding & financing, leadership, delegation & growth, and ownership/start-up mechanics (pricing, billing, forecasting, budgets), culminating in an Industry Day capstone presentation at the ASLA Conference.
Program format: Online, biweekly, with 13 total sessions that alternate between guest-speaker seminars and participant presentations/discussions—plus ongoing readings, assignments, peer engagement, and program leader office hours.
Key dates: Application period opens February 23 and closes March 12, 2026 (selected applicants notified March 16).
Registration fee: $1,899 (payment due March 23).
