This is America at 250: Let’s Celebrate the Plurality of Our American Heritage
Learn about the Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) and how to prepare a HALS report to document historic landscapes.
Please join us for a webinar on preparing a Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) report. The HALS mission is to record historic landscapes in the United States and its territories to serve as tangible evidence of our nation’s heritage and development. Documentation is critical to preserving historic landscapes for the benefit of future generations. This year, in recognition of our country’s 250th birthday, we have an open call for submissions that broadly address the theme of landscapes of liberty and freedom. During the seminar, our three speakers will shed light on selecting a site, the writing process, and the logistics of working with a team.
