Om Khurjekar, ASLA, PLA, a Principal at Hord Coplan Macht, with 25 years of experience. Trained as architect and landscape architect, he holds degrees from the University of Pune, India, and Morgan State University, an executive leadership certificate from Cornell University and is also a certified teacher of restorative yoga practice. Before establishing himself in the United States, Om worked as an architect in Pune, India, focusing on residential and institutional projects. Beginning as an intern at Hord Coplan Macht, he rose to become a Principal of the firm in 2014 and currently holds a senior leadership role within the firm.
Om specializes in crafting diverse landscapes architectural projects, specializing in public parks, interpretive play environments, campus landscapes, and urban streetscapes. He is respected for his passion for design, mindfulness, and friendly yet straightforward demeanor. Om has received multiple accolades throughout his career, including recognition from the Maryland and Potomac chapters of the ASLA, Preservation Pennsylvania, Maryland Recreation and Parks Authority, and LUXE interior design magazine. Notable personal recognitions include the Alumni of the Year award from Morgan State University and the ASLA Student Merit Award and Mid-Career Professional Award.
