About Matthew Rentsch, ASLA

Matthew Rentsch, ASLA, has been a champion of the landscape architecture profession in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area for nearly 25 years. He joined Damon Farber Landscape Architects in 2015, where he currently serves as a Senior Associate, designing and managing a broad range of projects from public realm to private developments, both locally and nationally. Prior to his election to the Board of Trustees in 2023, Matthew previously served as president and public relations treasurer for the Minnesota Chapter. Throughout his schooling and career, Matthew’s active involvement in ASLA has provided him with valuable learning opportunities and connections that have shaped his professional journey. He continues to advocate for ASLA to support the careers of fellow landscape architects nationwide and remains deeply engaged in the organization to give back to the profession.

Matthew is a graduate of South Dakota State University and holds professional licenses in Minnesota and South Dakota.

When not working or volunteering, Matthew enjoys exploring local plant nurseries and tackling weekend projects in his midcentury home.
