Flash Flood Relief: How You Can Help

2025-07-09

As landscape architects, we care deeply about the people and places that shape our communities. The recent floods in Central Texas and New Mexico have brought heartbreaking loss and upheaval to families, neighborhoods, and cherished landscapes. Our hearts go out to everyone affected—those mourning loved ones, searching for safety, and working around the clock to help their neighbors.

How You Can Support Relief Efforts

We encourage ASLA members and friends to support recovery efforts. In Texas, the Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT), a trusted, Platinum GuideStar charity, has gathered a list of vetted organizations providing direct assistance to those in need. In New Mexico the Community Foundation of Lincoln County operates The Shelter Fund to provide financial assistance to county residents who have experienced hardship due to natural disasters.

Your generosity will help provide emergency supplies, shelter, rescue operations, and care as Central Texas begins to heal and rebuild.

We will continue to share updates and ways to help as the situation evolves.

Thank you for showing up for our communities in this time of need.
