How to Upload Attendance and Issue Certificates in LA CES

Use this step-by-step document alongside the video tutorial to upload attendance and distribute certificates in LA CES.

  • Log in and open your course list
    • Sign in to your LA CES provider account.
    • In the main menu, select Education.
    • Review the list of courses (approved and pending).
    • Use the Status filter to quickly find the course you need.
  • Review course details (optional, but recommended)
    • Click the course name to open the course details.
    • To see everything submitted for the course, select View Full Application.
  • Download and complete the attendance template
    • From the course details page, select Import Certificates.
    • Download the attendance upload template from the LA CES Provider Resources page.
    • Complete the template for each attendee. Be sure to collect:
      • Attendee email address (required for matching and delivery)
      • ASLA member number (if applicable)
      • CLARB number (if applicable
      • Florida license number (if applicable)
    • Reminder for attendees: Encourage participants to register for LA CES courses using their ASLA credentials (email and number) so their LA CES attendee records sync properly.
  • If this is an on-demand webinar: enter completion dates
    • In the template, use the new completion date column to record the exact date the attendee earned credit (for on-demand content).
    • If you leave the completion date blank, LA CES will default to the course end date selected during course submission.
  • Upload attendance and send certificates
    • Return to the course and open Import Certificates.
    • Select Upload Certificates.
    • Upload your completed attendance template file.
    • On the Validate Data screen, review entries carefully to confirm they look correct.
    • If everything is accurate, select Send Certificates.
    • What happens next: Attendees receive an automated email to download their certificate and optionally create a LA CES attendee account.
  • Find or resend a certificate link (if an attendee didn’t receive it)
    • Go back to the course and select Import Certificates.
    • Open the Attendees tab.
    • Locate the attendee record and review the certificate send status.
    • Use the Copy certificate link button to share the direct link with the attendee.
