Jim Jackson, ASLA, died on August 11, 2022. Jim was currently serving on the ASLA Board of Trustees representing the Mississippi Chapter. He had previously served as chapter president for Mississippi. Jim was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on March 13, 1949. He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1967 and went on to study landscape architecture at Mississippi State University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. In addition to his practice, he served on several national and state boards.
A memorial service was held at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS on August 21st. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, P.O. Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38803, or to the charity of your choice.
