ASLA Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month

Washington, D.C. – September 15-October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month, when we recognize the long and important presence of Hispanic and Latinx Americans. This year, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month by highlighting the myriad contributions of Hispanic and Latinx Americans to the field of landscape architecture and communities around the world.
ASLA is committed to increasing diversity and inclusion among our membership, staff, and in the profession as a whole.

At the 2019 Diversity Summit, ASLA President Shawn T. Kelly, FASLA, encouraged participants to “Take this profession and make it yours. Own it. I celebrate the fact that we are landscape architects. We have common things that make us the same, as well as important differences that I want to make part of this profession.”
