ASLA has launched a new Plan Your Trip resource hub to help you make the most of your visit to New Orleans for the Annual Conference on Landscape Architecture, taking place October 10–13. From sustainable transportation tips to insider recommendations from the Louisiana Chapter, these planning tools will help improve your travel experience and reduce carbon emissions.
Whether you're a first-time visitor or returning to New Orleans, check out these three subpages to ensure a smooth and memorable conference experience:
- Traveling To and From the Conference: Find sustainable and efficient options for getting to New Orleans, including flights, trains, buses, and local transit connections from the airport.
- Getting Around New Orleans: Navigate the city with ease using walkable routes, public transportation, and tips for moving between conference venues and nearby neighborhoods.
- Local Picks: Discover local food spots, cultural highlights, and must-see attractions recommended by ASLA’s Louisiana Chapter to enrich your conference experience.
We recommend arriving on Thursday, October 9, and departing Monday evening, October 13, or Tuesday, October 14, to make the most of everything the conference has to offer. Check out the schedule at a glance to see the daily agenda and plan accordingly.
Join ASLA's Climate Action Plan efforts by choosing low-emission modes of transportation during your visit. Offset your carbon emissions through ASLA partner, the National Indian Carbon Coalition, an Indigenous carbon innovator, working with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians in Mississippi to preserve and improve Tribal Forests.
