April 13: Sasaki and TREND Leaders Share Their Successes in Asia’s Land Development Market

SITES Platinum Bai’etan Exhibition Center in Guandong, China

The SITES rating system for sustainable and resilient landscape development can be used to enhance project sustainability, implement green infrastructure strategies and improve resilience.

While most SITES-certified projects are currently located in the United States, China has begun to invest in nature-based solutions, such as “sponge cities,” to build resilience into their urban infrastructure.

A former waterfront warehouse in an industrial district of Guangdong, the Bai’etan Exhibition Center is the first project in China to achieve SITES Platinum certification for its urban flood management and sustainability features. Hear from the team behind this innovative project to learn about their strategies, priorities, and how sustainable practices are influencing Asia’s landscape development.
