Share Your Thoughts for a New ASLA Leader

ASLA is honored to partner with Higher Talent Executive Search to identify the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Society.

Over the last 15 years, Higher Talent has placed scores of senior leaders with nonprofit and higher educational institutions across the U.S. As a woman-owned boutique firm, Higher Talent’s approach is highly responsive and collaborative, and designed to meet the specific strategic and cultural priorities of each client.

This is a critical transition for ASLA, but one that provides opportunities for reflection and growth. Higher Talent is working with the ASLA Search Committee on a search process that inspires ASLA members while leading to the recruitment of a highly accomplished CEO to provide superior leadership for the organization.

Generally, the CEO of most non-profit organizations works with its governing body to establish the organization’s strategic vision, provide organizational leadership and management, oversee fundraising and communications activities, collaborate with allied organizations, among other responsibilities.

As Higher Talent prepares to conduct the search, ASLA is reaching out to all members to gain insights into the leadership qualities and core competencies of the next CEO should possess.

Based on ASLA’s governance structure and the description of an Executive Vice President/CEO key areas of responsibilities, we would like your input on the priorities for ASLA going forward, and the most important skills and qualities of its next CEO.

ASLA encourages all members to participate in a short survey to share perspectives on this exciting opportunity.

Please provide your responses by January 21. We appreciate your time and assistance in this endeavor.
