US ICOMOS Call for Applications - Overseas Interns and Hosts

The United States National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (US/ICOMOS) is seeking participants and hosts for its 2019 International Exchange Program (IEP).

Internships

US/ICOMOS is seeking graduate students and emerging professionals (within three years of graduation) specializing in historic preservation and heritage conservation to participate in its exchange program during the summer of 2019. Participants will be assigned to three-month, practical working internships, under professional supervision, with a public or private nonprofit preservation organization.

For more information, and for the link to the online application form, visit usicomos.org/internship.

The deadline for internship applications is January 11, 2019.

Hosts

The exchange program provides advanced training and hands-on experience for preservation professionals early in their careers. Sponsorship of an intern enables an organization to establish international connections and help train future professionals through preservation work experience at a modest cost to the host organization. Exchanges also build rewarding social, political, and personal relationships.

To be considered as a host for a US/ICOMOS international intern, please complete the online
application at: www.tinyurl.com/2019IEP

The deadline for host applications is January 4, 2019.

Questions should be directed to Brian Lione, Chair, IEP Committee, US/ICOMOS, at IEP@usicomos.org.
