Jack Story Joins Dewberry

Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Jack Story, ASLA, has been hired as a senior landscape architect in the firm’s Leesburg, Virginia, office.

Story has been in the profession for more than 15 years and is now responsible for the management and coordination of the landscape architecture practices in the firm’s Leesburg, Gainesville, and Fairfax, Virginia, offices. His experience covers numerous markets, including institutional, transportation, military and government, land development and capital improvement, and parks and recreation. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for a large consulting group in the D.C. metro area as a team leader and managed all phases of landscape project development, including proposal preparation, feasibility, design conception and development, cost estimating and budgeting, and construction documentation and administration.

Since joining the firm, Story has been involved in various projects, including the design of the Sister Jean Bridgeman plaza at Georgetown University. He is also leading construction administration for landscape architectural services on the upgrade of a large medical facility in New Jersey.
Story earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Ohio State University (2001) and is a licensed landscape architect in Maryland and Virginia. He is a certified playground safety inspecto, and a member of ASLA and the Virginia Recreation and Parks Society.
