OCB Names Meghen Quinn as New Vice President and Principal
In her new role as vice president and principal, Quinn will focus on expanding O|CB’s portfolio of green urbanism projects, guiding the development of complex public and institutional projects, and the realization of new and revitalized landscapes.
“Meghen brings an experienced perspective and has a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities that our clients face,” says Barton.
With a background in landscape architecture and urban and environmental planning spanning more than 15 years, Quinn has collaborated on award-winning local and national projects. Her work reflects her belief that well-crafted design can dramatically improve human and natural circumstances. She prioritizes site context in her projects through her attention to history, natural systems, and culture.
“Now more than ever we need to broaden the impact of landscape architectural practice and our focus on interdisciplinary collaboration to meet the complex needs of our time,” says Quinn. “We’ve joined forces to design for the adaptive, contextual, and compelling sites that are paramount to the Anthropocene Era.”
Prior to launching her own practice in 2012, Quinn worked with Sasaki Associates and Hargreaves Associates on projects including Wilmington Waterfront Park in Los Angeles, Residences at California Polytechnical University in Pomona, and the Alberta Legislative Centre Redevelopment in Edmonton, Canada. Her work encompasses institutional, commercial, and public landscapes. Quinn holds a Master in Landscape Architecture and a Master in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.
