Water Conservation
The Water Conservation PPN addresses a broad range of issues concerning water resources and the critical role of landscape architecture in water-resource planning, design, and watershed management.
The network examines historic and contemporary hydrological processes throughout the country, investigates relationships between built and natural environments, and discusses water-resource-management problems and potential solutions regarding conventional land-use development practices on projects of all types and scale. Greater focus is given to identifying and disseminating information related to current innovations in water conservation.
Topics of interest include: stormwater, water quality, water conservation, irrigation practices, landscaping, and habitat restoration, as well as management techniques in urban, suburban, and rural environments.
