Coastal Gateway Community Park Design Services

Description: The City of Gulf Shores desires to develop a comprehensive master plan for the development of a community park as well as construction documents for the first phase of park construction. The proposed community park is set to be constructed on a portion of a 120-acre tract of City-owned property located on the south side of Coastal Gateway Boulevard (formerly County Road 8) directly between the Crimson Ridge and Craft Farms North Subdivisions. While the primary scope of work for the project is to plan, estimate, and design the area necessary to accommodate a community park, the project also involves schematic design illustrating how the park is ideally integrated into the larger 120-acre site. The overall schematic design also must incorporate a planned north/south connector street through the property, ideal location for future elementary school, and a future fire hall site. The park design will need to appropriately respond to surrounding single family residential development.
