All Full, Associate, and International members in good professional standing will be eligible to vote and will receive a paper and/or email ballot to participate. All Full members are eligible to vote on constitutional amendments.

AMENDMENT 1:
To align the Constitution with current practices, the Board of Trustees approved the following revision to Section 701:

Constitution, Article 7, Section 701:
701.  The Society shall be governed by a Board of Trustees composed of one (1) trustee from each chapter, one (1) national student representative, one (1) national associate representative, and the elected national officers of the Society. The power to establish Society policy consistent with the Constitution is vested in the Board of Trustees.

AMENDMENT 2:
The second amendment revises the terms of the vice presidents of the Society. The Board desires to create greater continuity of institutional knowledge by extending the length of terms from two years to three years for the vice presidents.  Currently, ASLA has six vice presidents in the following program areas – Communications, Education, Finance, Government Affairs, Membership, and Professional Practice. To create the continuity and stagger the terms effectively, two vice presidents would be elected each year rather than three.

Constitution, Article 7, Section 707:

707.  The elected national officers of the Society shall be the president, the president-elect, four (4) or more vice presidents, and the immediate past president. The vice presidents shall serve two (2) three (3) year terms with one-half (1/2) one-third (1/3) of the vice presidents elected in even years and one-half (1/2) of the vice presidents elected in odd years each year. The other officers of the Society shall serve one-(1)-year terms. No officer of the Society shall serve concurrently in more than one (1) elected office.
