Dewey Square is an urban plaza in front of Boston’s South Station, New England’s largest and busiest train terminal. A major gateway to the city’s Financial District, thousands of people pass through the plaza each day as part of their daily commute or to stop and enjoy lunch from one of the many food truck vendors who park on the plaza.

Urban design and master planning for Dewey Square was led by Machado and Silvetti Associates. Additional design work within Dewey Square was prepared by Utile, Inc and the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.
