Little Brewster Island and Boston Light

Little Brewster Island is a rocky outer island in the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area. It is best known as the location of Boston Light, the country’s oldest continually used lighthouse site, which has been in operation since 1716. As the only remaining Coast Guard-manned lighthouse in the United States, it is an important navigation aid for traffic to and from the Port of Boston.

Publicly accessible through a Boston Harbor Lighthouse Tour, tours depart from the Boston Harbor Island Pavilion on the Rose Kennedy Greenway on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You will also view Boston Harbor's other historic lighthouses: Long Island Light and The Graves Light. Purchase tickets through the Brown Paper Tickets Company.
