Jean Senechal Biggs, ASLA

Jean Senechal-Biggs, ASLA, is a project manager with the Portland Bureau of Transportation. For more than 18 years, she has proudly served the City of Portland through planning, designing, and building innovative street improvement projects. Recent projects include the Congresswoman Darlene Hooley Pedestrian Bridge over Interstate 5, the SW Moody Street and Streetcar Reconstruction Project, and the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Project.

Jean is passionate about creating engaging public spaces and livable neighborhoods that encourage walking, cycling, and transit. She also a skilled public involvement professional, facilitating stakeholder groups through challenging decision-making processes.
 
Jean studied at the University of Oregon, where she received a bachelor of landscape architecture. She maintains her connection to the university's landscape architecture department as a long-time participant in the annual University of Oregon/ASLA Shadow Mentor Day. Her passion for the profession also extends to mentoring students and new professionals, particularly those seeking careers that bridge landscape architecture and transportation.
