Bennett Burns, ASLA

Bennett Burns, ASLA, LEED AP, is an award winning, independent landscape architect whose palette includes the national parks of the western United States and interpretive, education, and conference centers throughout the country. For more than 25 years, her work has focused on projects that blend art and science in a manner that promotes public understanding of natural systems and cultural diversity. Supported by degrees in biology and landscape architecture, she is known for sustainable design that integrates natural habitat and human activities. Prior to her independent career, she practiced in the offices of Walker Macy and MIG.

Bennett believes strongly in community service and currently serves as past chair of the Oregon State Parks Foundation. She is also an active member of the Portland Garden Club.
