The Brewery Blocks

The Brewery Blocks Development is a landmark project in Portland's recently revitalized Pearl District. The largest contiguous private development in Portland’s history, it contains seven buildings encompassing five city blocks. Of these, one building is certified LEED Platinum, four LEED Gold, and one LEED silver.

Guided by the tenets of New Urbanism, the neighborhood development plan led by Gerding Edlen prizes density, mixed-use, walkability, connectivity, diversity, conservation, and place-making, aiming to turn this neglected district into a dynamic neighborhood showcasing environmental, social, and economical sustainability. GBD Architects served as lead architect for each building, and Perron Collaborative and Walker Macy contributed to the site design.
