For the third time in LABash history, Kansas State University will be hosting the LABash Conference in the spring of 2023. We are excited to invite you to Manhattan, Kansas on March 29th – 31st!

What is LABash?
LABash is a national conference for landscape architecture students, organized and hosted by students. Each year, LABash brings hundreds of students and professionals from across the country to learn, connect, and shape the future of the profession.

Get excited for this year’s schedule!
With 24 educational sessions, 6 spark talks, and 4 keynotes, this year’s conference schedule is full of trailblazing ideas. Keynotes: Kene Okigbo (RDG Planning & Design), Nina Chase (Merritt Chase), Matt Williams (City of Detroit), and Michael Grove (Sasaki) will share the power of landscape architecture to impact change on a variety of scales. Other sessions will highlight diverse perspectives in landscape architecture surrounding topics such as community engagement and climate action.

Not only is there an impressive lineup of speakers (over 60!), but there are several special events in store, from a guided tour of the Konza Prairie, a native tallgrass preserve and living laboratory within the Flint Hills, to a personalized watercolor workshop. There is something for everyone in this year’s schedule! Take a look at the full lineup.

This year’s LABash Expo includes nearly 50 exhibitors, including vendors and firms from across the country. The Expo is a great opportunity to network with vendor and firm representatives as well as learn more about their products and services.

All Aboard! The LABash 2023 Express: Shuttle Bus

To accommodate for the closure of the Manhattan Regional Airport on March 29th & 30th, LABash is providing a shuttle from the Kansas City International airport (MCI). Tickets for the shuttle are $15 each way and may be purchased during registration or on the LABash website. Please note, a pre-purchased ticket is required for the LABash Shuttle. This is a great way to meet fellow attendees on your way to the conference!
