The 2019 ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture starts this Friday, November 15, in San Diego. This guide will help you get the most out of your weekend.

First, download the ASLA 2019 app. It’ll help you plan your entire conference. The app lets you create a personalized schedule, connect with exhibitors, communicate with other attendees, and buy tickets for all of the special events.

At the EXPO, more than 370 exhibitors, including over 80 new exhibitors, showcase hundreds of products, services, technology applications, and design solutions. Many unique events take place at the EXPO providing networking opportunities and deep dives into the products, services, and design solutions. For example, receive a free professional portrait at the Portrait Studio or watch a watercolor sketch demonstration. Plan your trip with Learning Labs, PPN Live, Continue the Conversation, the ASLA Bookstore, JobLink LIVE, and much more! Check out all EXPO events.

Conference attendees can also win cash prizes at the EXPO on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with the Badge Buster scan game. Exhibitors scan your badge's QR code as you visit their booths. The attendees scanned by the most exhibitors on Sunday will win one of our top three prizes.

This year’s inspiring general sessions examine the role landscape architects play in our current climate crisis. In Saturday’s opening general session, Gina McCarthy will explore how policies, programs, and investments in the United States and beyond can turn the corner toward a clean energy future. On Monday’s closing general session, Andrew Revkin will moderate three fast-paced, powerful talks from internationally renowned landscape architects doing inspiring work around the globe to address the urgent challenges facing vulnerable communities in the era of climate change.

The conference also celebrates achievements and excellence in the profession. Get your tickets for the Council of Fellows Investiture Dinner honors the newest members of the ASLA Council of Fellows, or the President’s Dinner, which pays tribute to the distinguished recipients of ASLA’s highest honors. The ASLA Student and Professional Awards Ceremony recognizes the best in landscape architecture from around the globe.

Remember to share your experiences at the conference on social media with #ASLA2019, and to visit ASLA Central if you have any questions about the conference or ASLA.
