YOUR LAND Reaches 10,000 Outreach Educators!

Demand for YOUR LAND, ASLA’s one-of-a-kind publication for middle and high school students, continues to build among members, students, and K-12/STEM educator communities across the world.

Developed in response to rising interest in the profession of landscape architecture among students in sixth through twelfth grades, YOUR LAND offers dynamic snapshots of the vastness landscape architecture entails. YOUR LAND highlights valuable connections between real-world problems and exciting solution-based projects around global climate changes, safe and healthy neighborhoods, biodiversity, and more.

“What’s really unique about YOUR LAND is the wide spectrum of possibilities it offers young audiences to envision ways their natural talents and curiosities can make a difference in their communities and across the world,” says Lisa J. Jennings, ASLA’s manager of career discovery and diversity. “It’s an inspirational resource that allows educators to connect any STEM subject to a student’s interest, whether it’s a love of animals, community service, nature, or even hobbies like skateboarding and rock climbing.”

“We designed YOUR LAND to appeal to a diverse range of kids and inspire them to discover the landscape architecture profession,” says Bradford McKee, editor-in-chief of Landscape Architecture Magazine.

YOUR LAND is available in bulk for classroom or group uses. The publication is available at no cost. ASLA asks that recipients cover shipping costs. For bulk copies, please complete the forms on this webpage and email to Lisa J. Jennings, manager of career discovery and diversity, at
