GGN Promotes Two, Adds Two

Two talented individuals have joined the staff of landscape architecture firm GGN (Gustafson Guthrie Nichol), and GGN is especially pleased to announce the promotions of two key team members. Bryn Kepler has been promoted to associate, and David Malda, ASLA, to principal.

Kepler is a Seattle native with deep roots in the creative community. Her work is informed by an enthusiasm for the design of urban landscapes that seek to redefine the experience of living in a city. She is currently working on the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.

Malda’s particular interest in how a site’s history informs contemporary value shapes his work on projects like the winning proposal for the Union Square National Mall Competition in Washington, D.C; the Pike-Pine Renaissance Streetscape Design Vision, Seattle; and, most recently, on Civic Park at Hemisfair in San Antonio.

Ekin Arin joins the D.C. office as a design intern. Ekin received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, where she was the recipient of the Design Excellence Award.

Madeleine Aronson joins the Seattle office as a design intern coming from a background in cultural anthropology and multimedia art. She is currently pursuing her Master in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
