Outdoor Living Is IN at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show
A product preview
The 14th annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show will take over New York City’s Piers 92 and 94 March 19–22, 2015. The show explores the world of design through inspiring installations, high-caliber programming, exciting special events, and more. In the outdoor category, exhibitors are putting forward many high-performance, low-maintenance products. Here is a look at a few of the innovative outdoor offerings on display:
Bullfrog Spas will be showcasing STIL, a new modern portable spa that embraces an ultramodern approach to hot-tub styling and functionality. Combined with the brand’s patented JetPak Therapy System, it offers customized, state-of-the-art hydrotherapy.
What’s hot in outdoor kitchens? Customization and American manufacturing will take center stage as exhibitors including Michigan-based Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet and Connecticut-based Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens bring their latest high-end luxury products to the table.
The show will also highlight infrastructure solutions that are low impact, long lasting, and sustainable. Made from recycled tires, Tri-State Flexi-Pave created the gold standard for flexible porous paving. The material is a great aid to the negative effects of stormwater runoff. Stone Farm Living provides a large selection of reclaimed landscaping stones that are resilient and filled with historic character, perfect for a patio, driveway, or pathway.
More Design Choices in Railings and Decking
This product category continues to grow. Known for its master craftsmanship, Compass Ironworks will be showcasing its distinctive gates, decor, fences, and railings. For a sleek, modern, and virtually transparent railing system, visitors should check out AGS Stainless’s Clearview line. For decking, Bison Innovative Products has the solution for elevated spaces including rooftops, terraces, and pop-up parks.
Low Maintenance Furnishings
Proof that high-quality, low-maintenance teak gets better with age, Royal Botania, a Belgian manufacturer of outdoor luxury furnishings, is bringing back its Vigor table. The sustainably harvested teak table returns to the show after being exposed to the elements for one year. Its weathered silver gray color is a prime example of the beauty of nature. Attendees should also keep an eye out for furnishings and accessories from Karkula, Walpole Outdoors, and Pennoyer Newman.
