Rodman Elected as 2014–2015 ASLA National Student Rep
ASLA student members have a new advocate on the Board of Trustees: Cameron R. Rodman, Student ASLA, the 2014–2015 ASLA National Student Representative.
As Student Representative, Rodman has many duties and goals, but primarily acts as a liaison, fostering a positive relationship between students and professionals who share a mutual passion and enthusiasm for the field of landscape architecture.
Rodman is currently pursuing his master’s in landscape architecture at the University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK). The landscape architecture program at UTK is young, says Rodman, so he hopes this honor will place a focus on their program as one that challenges the field’s design thinking.
On student collaboration, Rodman explains, “I really hope to include as many people as possible and highlight their strengths and ideas. We have a really talented group of emerging professionals in our Society with some really innovative and unique ideas.”
Please join ASLA in congratulating Cameron R. Rodman, Student ASLA, the 2014–2015 National Student Representative—an emerging leader and a strong advocate for student members.
