EPA Announces 2nd Annual Campus Rainworks Design Challenge
Mark your calendars! EPA is preparing to launch its second annual Campus RainWorks Challenge to encourage faculty and students on college and university campuses across the country to develop innovative approaches to sustainable stormwater management.
The goals of the competition are to help raise awareness of green design and planning approaches at colleges and universities, and to train the next generation of landscape architects, planners, and engineers in green infrastructure principles and design. Challenge registration will begin this September.
To see last year's challenge winners and for details on this year's challenge competition, see EPA's Campus RainWorks Challenge website.
ASLA, along with the Water Environment Federation and the American Society of Civil Engineers, partnered with the EPA to sponsor Campus Rainworks, winners of which were announced in May 2013. Details on this year's challenge will be available beginning in late July.
