The International Conference on Ecology & Transportation (ICOET) welcomes you to attend its seventh biennial conference to be held June 23–27, 2013, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Call for Abstracts and Proposals is open through November 15, 2012. Abstracts for papers and poster presentations, and proposals for sessions, addressing current project or planning activities, research findings, emerging issues, or best practices related to the interface between ecology and transportation will be considered. For complete details, visit the conference website.
ICOET is the foremost multidisciplinary, interagency-supported conference addressing the broad range of ecological issues related to transportation systems. The conference program includes presentations for all transportation modes and topics of interest to attendees—researchers, biologists, engineers, planners, project managers, administrators, and policy makers representing government, tribal, academic, nongovernmental, and private industry organizations. More than 500 professionals from all 50 United States and more than 20 other countries attend ICOET. ICOET is organized by the Center for Transportation and the Environment at North Carolina State University and is supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration and many federal and state government agencies, universities, nongovernmental organizations, and corporate partners that guide the development of the conference program. ICOET 2013 is co-hosted by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) with support from the Arizona Game & Fish Department and other ADOT partner organizations.
