Skip Graffam, ASLA

As Partner and Director of Research, Skip Graffam, ASLA, leads design and planning projects as well as research initiatives that support OLIN’s contribution to the practice of landscape architecture, urban design and planning. Skip is currently leading the competition-winning design for the Washington Monument Grounds at Sylvan Theatre on the National Mall (in collaboration with fellow OLIN Partner Hallie Boyce), as well as a new headquarters for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at the historic St. Elizabeth’s Hospital campus in Washington, D.C.

Skip holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia, where he has served as an invited critic. He is a frequent lecturer at Temple University, where he previously served as an Assistant Professor, and teaches regularly at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2010 Skip was one of three OLIN Partners to lead the first-ever studio on landscape architecture at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles.
