Susan Spain, ASLA

Susan Spain, ASLA, joined the Denver Service Center of the National Park Service in 1989. The National Park Service conserves nearly 400 extraordinary historic and natural places for the enjoyment of the American public. Susan has worked on NPS projects in a dozen states.

Susan’s work includes design, planning, project management, transportation, facilitation, and special projects. The National Mall Plan (2006 -2010) is now in plan implementation. Susan has also worked on NPS  projects at The White House & President's Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and War in the Pacific National Historical Park (Guam), Denali National Park, Olympic National Park, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, and Fort Monroe National Monument.

Thanks for the concise summary of the memorial. It was a pleasure to work with the architects of record for the project, Leo A. Daly Planning, Architecture and Engineering, during the design and review process. I think that after all the controversy and design development, the outcome was excellent. September 23, 2012 8:24 PM
There is a typo on the first date of the .pdf, it should read 1771 not 1971, I think.
