          2004 Student Awards Jury Comments

This project is the design component of a comprehensive studio project. The recent development of a new residential subdivision within an urban/rural interface brought about the need for a new community space capable of uniting new and existing elements. The objective was to design a contemporary public park that addresses the social and political needs of the communities adjacent to the site, as well as the ecological issues related to the site and its surrounding environment.
