Senate Hearing Highlights Green Infrastructure

On May 9, the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works held a hearing* on America’s Infrastructure Act of 2018. This hearing is the start of the biennial process of renewing the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA). During the hearing there was continued positive discussion about the promotion and use of green infrastructure in projects funded, authorized, or allowed under this legislation.

TIGER Program Becomes BUILD; Administration Announces $1.5 Billion in Funding

Recently, the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for $1.5 billion for a new round of Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grants under a new acronym. BUILD (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development) grants will replace the TIGER program.
