On Monday, May 4, the Office of Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA) submitted 7 additional cosponsors for H.R. 1443, the Complete Streets Act of 2009 that were a result of ASLA congressional visits and letters through the Advocacy Network.  Senator Tom Harkin (IA) submitted 3 additional cosponsors for S. 584 after ASLA’s Advocacy Day.

These new House of Representative cosponsors are:

Cong. Rick Boucher (VA)

Cong. Lacy Clay (MO)

Cong. Barbara Lee (CA)

Cong. Eleanor Holmes Norton (DC)

Cong. Leonard Boswell (IA)

Cong. Mazie Hirono (HI)

Cong. Albio Sires (NJ)

The new Senate cosponsors are:

Senator Mark Begich (AK)

Thank you to those of you who visited your representative’s office and sent messages asking your representatives to become a cosponsor. ASLA members have built those relationships that are starting to yield results.
