Description:

American Conservation Experience, a Non-Profit Conservation Corps, in partnership with the National Park Service is seeking a Landscape Architect member interested in dedicating 11 weeks in support of the National Park Service at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Position Description: The ACE member will focus their work to review and update the documentation for a number of INDE's landscapes. The specific projects will include the following:

Baseline Tree Documentation Update: Update maps and current conditions of Rush Garden and the 18th Century Garden and Mall which will include documentation of the planting beds

Complete condition assessment and treatment recommendations for the Rose and Magnolia Gardens

Washington Square update cultural landscape condition and treatment recommendation including mapping

Edgar Allen Poe House begin to prepare a Cultural Landscape Report for the site, complete historic research, existing conditions assessment, mapping, and treatment recommendations

Franklin Court begin to prepare a Cultural Landscape Inventory of the site
