We are looking for an enthusiastic Capital Projects Intern to join our team and provide critical support in managing construction projects in the Park.

As the Capital Intern, you will assist the Director of Capital Projects & Restoration on a variety of tasks related to the park’s construction. In this role, you will contribute to ongoing project management, including small construction projects, public outreach, communications regarding in-progress and upcoming construction projects, internal file-keeping, and plan organization. A key element to this role is collaborating with our Operations team, which includes Maintenance, Facilities, Horticulture and Custodial professionals.

This internship will help you acquire construction management, project management and communication skills. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in Park and construction management and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

Ideal candidates for this internship are pursuing a graduate degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design or related fields. We are looking for individuals who have solid writing skills, research acumen, communications abilities, ability to read design plans, use Adobe Illustrator, and are familiar with construction project management. This is a paid internship, and candidates should be available to work up to 25 hours per week.
