Description: The Ecocity World Summit is the longest-standing, biennial international conference that brings attention to key actions cities and citizens can take to promote the understanding and development of cities that are: ecologically healthy and sustainable, economically prosperous and fair, and socially just and caring. The first conference was held in Berkeley, USA in 1990 and since then have been held around the world including Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2015, and Melbourne, Australia in 2017.

The conference welcomes everyone who is passionate about living in ecologically sustainable cities including innovators and pioneers, designers and planners, policy makers and administrators, professionals and business people, real estate developers and green building experts, environmentalists and developers, and students and teachers.

From October 7-11, 2019, the Ecocity World Summit will be held in Vancouver, known to be one of the most beautiful and greenest cities. The conference will be proudly hosted by the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in collaboration will the City of Vancouver and Tourism Vancouver at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.

Whether you're coming a large mego-region or a smaller rural village, the themes of "Socially Just and Ecologically Sustainable Cities" unites us. With more than 1,000 attendees from over 75 countries around the world expected to be in attendance, we can't wait to see you there!
