Description: This half-day seminar seeks to educate landscape architects on how to better incorporate daffodils, tulips, alliums, snowdrops, and other bulbs into their projects while understanding the horticultural and maintenance needs that influence their success. The program (2.75 CEU) will include educational sessions by landscape architect Eva Chiamulera and Madison Square Park’s Deputy Director of Horticulture and Operations Stephanie Lucas. Colorblends owner Tim Schipper will talk about the design process involved with selecting bulbs for a full spring garden. The day will conclude with a tour of Colorblends' Spring Garden, a collaboration with Dutch designer Jacqueline van der Kloet. Visitors will be guided through half an acre of spring flowers and plantings on this property located in Bridgeport, Connecticut’s Stratfield Historic District.
