Description: The Landscape Below Ground IV Conference is an International Conference on Tree Root Development in Urban Soils. Landscape Below Ground conferences have been held in 1993, 1998, and 2008. These conferences provided a forum for presentation of the latest research and management practices in all aspects of tree root development in urban soils. Their impact on arboricultural practices was significant.

Call for Papers
The Landscape Below Ground IV Conference program committee is now accepting presentation, poster, and pre-conference workshop proposals for the conference. Proposals will be evaluated based on overall quality, appropriateness, and timeliness of topic, well-defined focus, and practical applications of material. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
" Tree root development and management
" Managing urban soil environments
" Tree root system biomechanics
" Root structure and stability
" Tree production, planting and establishment
" Infrastructure conflicts and solutions
" Construction damage and preservation
" Planting site design
