Design-build response to 10x10 Shelter Challenge by Karolina and Wayne of Atelier Switzerland: See short film of the Ghana workshop experience:

Nka Foundation provides hands-on, site-based internships for landscape architecture students to learn-by-doing through use of local materials and infrastructure in rural Ghana. Participants live at the Abetenim Arts Village located 40 km Southeast of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. A typical responsibility is to collaborate with others to design-build a site-specific landscape architecture such as a playground for the local elementary school, rest shelter, pond for local species, or a non-functional structure over the arts village landscape.
