SCUP 2013 Mid-Atlantic One-Day: Building Student Success in the New Learning Environments

This one-day conference will focus on the range of strategies already being employed to redefine the future of higher education, the organizational frameworks that support student success and the facilities that foster a variety of institutional missions.
1. Identify the characteristics of a successful student assessment program and the institutional structures that support it, in light of virtual learning environments.
2. Recognize effective strategies for fostering collaboration, improving interaction and building community in non-traditional campus settings.
3. Illustrate the impact of an expanded definition of student-learner on the design of learning environments.
4. Interpret how institutional mission affects place-making in traditional and non-traditional educational institution settings.
