Designers integrated several sustainable features into the project, including: use of Mycorrhizal fungi and creation of larger foot paths for trees to ensure greater tree survival, collection of roof runoff in underground storage areas for use in passive irrigation, and installation of ample bike parking to reduce the dependency on automobiles. The design team demonstrated that there is always an opportunity to reduce our impact on the environment with minimal impact on the overall budget.
