Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.

Greetings Women of the Landscape Architecture Professional Practice Network,
We would like to reach out to this group and ask for your contribution. It has been a slow start for many of us this year due to the challenges the economy has faced. We have all been directly affected professionally and personally. Though these challenges have occurred, it does not dilute the need for our profession in the world today. This is an opportunity to be more innovative and strategic on how we establish ourselves and assist other disciplines that we work with.
The new ASLA website is up and fully functional. There were some technical difficulties this last year in getting the e-Networks up and going, but these have been resolved, and now is the time to utilize this great tool to share experiences and thoughts about the evolving practice of landscape architecture. There is no doubt that the future depends on us to be pro-active participants in a growing population, understanding the needs of people and the environment, and contributing knowledge to help solve complex issues that affect our daily lives.
How can we as a PPN engage our members and encourage participation? What are the issues we face in the profession and how can we elevate our practices? What difficulties have you faced this year and what were the lessons learned?
Please spend a few moments visiting the e-Network site and offer suggestions on how the PPN can be a useful tool for you. (Login on the ASLA homepage to access your e-Network(s), or for step-by-step usage instructions, visit e-Network instructions.) This is also a great opportunity to share new work accomplished this year, post a summary or a photo of a project. Here’s an example of some shared imagery: two infrastructures. We must celebrate the small milestones, so that we can reflect on our journey.
