2003 STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION RESULTS
During the weekend of July 18th, ASLA held the judging for the 2003 Student
Design Competition. The competition is intended to identify and recognize
outstanding works of design and research accomplished by landscape architecture
students. Over 200 entries were submitted in 12 categories from students in
43 landscape architecture programs in the U.S. and Canada. The jury awarded
a total of 14 first place awards in 10 categories, and 29 special commendations
in seven categories.
All winning entries will be displayed at the 2003 ASLA Annual Meeting in New
Orleans. First place winners will receive a certificate and complimentary meeting
registration. Commendation winners will also receive a certificate. All certificates
will be presented to winning students during the Student General Session held
in the New Orleans Convention Center on October 31.
