2002 ASLA Student Design Competition
First Place Winners & Commendations
 

On Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th, ASLA held the judging for the 2002 Student Design Competition. The competition is intended to identify and recognize outstanding works of design and research accomplished by landscape architecture students. Over 150 entries were submitted in 12 categories.

All winning entries will be displayed at the 2002 ASLA Annual Meeting in San Jose, California, along with the 2001 competition winners who were unable to be recognized, due to the cancellation of last year's Montreal meeting. First place winners will receive a certificate and complimentary meeting registration. Commendation winners will also receive a certificate.

This year's jury included: Rodney Swink, ASLA President, Stephen Carter, ASLA Vice President, Membership; Lisa Geer, ASLA Student Affairs Committee Chair; Daniel Ashworth, Jr., Past ASLA Student Representative; George Hazelrigg, ASLA Student Member; Valorie Hennigan, ASLA; and Randy Mardis, ASLA.
