| Landscape Architecture Wins SNAP Award WASHINGTON, DC, May 2, 2003—The Society of National Association Publications (SNAP) has awarded Landscape Architecture a Gold Award in the Magazines, General Excellence, category. Nearly 900 entries were submitted for the 2003 SNAP EXCEL Awards. “The magazine reflects the richness of the landscape architecture profession,” said J. William Thompson, FASLA, editor. “We are proud to be building on 93 years of continuous publication.” The monthly magazine of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Landscape Architecture is the premier publication covering international landscape design, planning, and management. Founded in 1899, ASLA is the national professional association for landscape architects, representing more than 13,500 members nationwide. Landscape architecture is a comprehensive discipline of land analysis, planning, design, management, preservation, and rehabilitation.
