Continuing Education Credit
Earn continuing education credit toward maintenance
of your state license (where mandated) by attending education
sessions in Minneapolis. With up to eight topics to choose
from in most time slots and presentations being made by leading
experts in the profession, you will find plenty of choices
that meet your licensure requirements and your practice needs.
ASLA will use an electronic tracking system
for education sessions to provide attendance verification
for credits. Session monitors will scan attendees’ name
badges outside education session rooms. To maintain the integrity
of the system, badges will only be scanned for the first 10
minutes of each session. A record of attended sessions will
be mailed after the annual meeting to attendees participating
in this system. Attendees may use this record as part of the
information they submit to state boards to satisfy reporting
requirements. ASLA is applying to have many of the educational
sessions approved by the Florida Board of Landscape Architecture.
Attendees licensed in Florida must include their Florida license
number on the registration form so that ASLA can submit attendance
records to Florida.
In addition to taking advantage of the education
sessions, attendees may earn continuing education credit by
attending the EXPO or by participating in Annual Meeting tours.
Depending on state regulations for reporting attendance at
these events, you will want to keep track of the sessions
you attend as well as handouts and your registration confirmation
(for example, for an event such as a tour).
